That day, 10-E and 10-F were with MS.Mandy and MS.Hardely to go to NANJING UNITISITY and saw the exhibition of Wu WeiShan.
There were a lot of artworks there..All of them were beautiful. My fanvourite artwork was the Sleeping Boy. It was awarded the 'Pangolin Prize' of the Royal Society of British Aculpted. The Sleeping Boy was different from other artworks because others were the famous people in the world. But this one is a boy, not famous, only a normal baby boy. It was unique and attacted me.
The Sleeping Boy was modelledon a visit to a friends house. The child had been unwell and crying most of the day but had mow fallen asleep its mouth open because it had differently breathing through the nose.
The Sleeping Boy had an interesting braids. It was a classical braids in old China. He was closing his eyes and a little smile. The nose was very small. The mouse was openning and lovely. The head was not stright and it makes me feel he was heavy sleeping. Because it made of soil,. The artwork was rough and feeling 3-D.
He is imbuing a new generation of scuptors with his ideas. So, his artwork is contempoary and traditional. It was a 3-D artwork. . It lifelike and makes me feel peaceful. Look at a baby sleeping can make me feel peaceful and MR.W also hao lovely about the boy. The baby face also makes me feel peaceful.
MR.Wu has already created sculptures of more than 200 famous people, Chinese and foreign, and those active in cultural arenas. Some of these words are redllstic, some irave bolder outlines. Wu is oppecially skilled in making the latter. These works are exquisite in the sense that they ocem to irave been created quickly without a pause. Yet, they were not made leisurely, hastily, or without a certain pur suit of shape and resemblance.
For all of the artwork. He could penetrate into his subjects' inner in order to capture it. This freedhand style is both traditionally and contemporary.
